Now that the street has been opened back up for vehicle traffic outside our office in Trafalgar Street, the consensus seems to be that closing it for 6 months over summer to all but pedestrian traffic has been a success. I anticipate the Nelson City Council will repeat the exercise this summer.
This means that for the next 6 months you can park right outside our office again, as you come in to list your property or buy one of our outstanding homes for sale – or you could come to the open homes this weekend, starting 12.30 pm Sunday. We have such a variety, that whether you’re looking for a residential property for a single person, a couple or a family, we have something for everyone.
Have a great week – see you Sunday.
As I write this I’m wrapping up two very busy days at the Downunder Live immigration expo in the UK and about to jump on the plane to come home. I have missed Nelson and I can’t wait to return to blue, unpolluted skies and warmer weather.
I’ll no doubt spend the next few weeks following up the various leads I’ve got, and my partners in Migrate2nelson will be flat out working with the database of lovely people I have met here – all wanting to contribute to NZ and make Nelson their home. I even met a few Kiwi expats longing to be home.
A big hand for my team who have been doing the work of three in my absence – Jacqui and Miriam are the back bone of my team and have been doing the deals and listing up a storm while I’ve been wading through the snow working our buyers in the northern hemisphere.
I look forward to seeing you at any of our four open homes this weekend – have a great week.
Since last week we have sold 4 Rosa Cristina Way, The Wood, Nelson to the best of five very competitive offers. Congratulations to the successful buyers.
Our new listing this week is 54 Stanley Crescent, Port Hills Nelson. This is an immaculate and spacious home with sensational views out both side of the house. I’ll stop right there because my own words struggle to describe this gorgeous home – you’ll really have to come to our first open home yourself to check it out and see what I mean.
Jacqui will be running the first open home as I’m in the UK doing appointments and getting ready for the Downunder Live immigration expo in Glasgow this weekend. If you’re in the UK reading this, come along or email me to make a time to meet – I won’t have loads of time to chat during the expo but very happy to do so on the Friday evening beforehand or after the expo itself – let me know if you need to book a time.
On the topic of being in the UK, it’s weeks like this that remind me what a lovely city we live in. It was snowing when I landed in Scotland and although the skies have been blue there’s snow piled on the sides of the road and it’s a little….crisp. I can’t wait to get home to Nelson.
Have a great week – wherever you are.
New to the market this week is one of the nicest surprises Stoke has to offer – 50 Neale Ave, Stoke is a super-spacious house on over 900m2 of land, and just in case that wasn’t enough, there’s a park right next door. The home is designed for a growing active family. It’s worked perfectly in that regard for our vendors and it will do the same for you. Loads of bedrooms, office space, bathrooms and a games room. A deck big enough to entertain for big gatherings, and on those evenings when you’d prefer a quiet night in, the owners will be leaving the spa for you to enjoy. Easy walking to the shops and schools.
That’s all from us this week – have a good one and we might just see you at Neale Ave.
I’m writing this at the same time as packing my bags to head to the UK – I’ll be doing appointments in London and Glasgow, and working at the immigration Expo in Glasgow nearer the end of the month. And yes, I’m packing a jacket just in case it’s still snowing.
Our new listings this week are at 75 Bronte Street, Nelson – a charming character home with three bedrooms, and a delightful double garage, this home is very easy walking distance to town. The owner has done some nice renovations and we would expect you could move in here without having to do more work before you can enjoy it as your new home.
We have a big family home coming up in Stoke that we’ll have photos and information for nearer the weekend and we should be able to bring that to you this time next week.
In my absence, my very able business partner Jacqui Miller will be doing the business, supported by our PA Miriam Cleary.
Have a great week
Since last week we have sold 1/6 Grove Street, The Wood, Nelson.
Although it was small and a little dated, the location was superb and the two offers we had were well over $400,000 – a clear recognition of the value of a location that is – at worst – two minutes’ walk to Nelson’s CBD.
We have a new inner city listing and we can bring you the details next week, but if you’re shopping in the mid $600,000s and looking for a two bedroom villa with a spacious double garage, please give us a call asap.
Have a great week,
