Very importantly for you, new lending rules come into force on the 1st October this year. After that date, buyers will need more equity in their purchase as banks will not be able to lend to current LVR levels. I doubt this is a temporary measure on the Reserve Bank’s part as they have left themselves the option of continuing this restriction indefinitely.
It might still officially be Winter but if the last week is anything to go by Spring is here. One of the benefits of living in New Zealand’s sunniest city is the gorgeous climate at any time of the year. As we move into Spring we have a number of sections available if you’re wishing to build, from under 1000m2 on Nelson’s waterfront, to 4.5 hectares this side of Mapua.
Two new listings today at opposite ends of the scale, and yet both very smart and both are absolute stand-out examples in their particular price band. The first is two 1960s flats at 21 and 21A Ngatiawa Street, Nelson. This is an estate sale, and the front flat was owner occupied with the rear being tenanted. Both are double glazed, with two bedrooms and separate toilet and bathroom.
