I’m writing this at the same time as packing my bags to head to the UK – I’ll be doing appointments in London and Glasgow, and working at the immigration Expo in Glasgow nearer the end of the month. And yes, I’m packing a jacket just in case it’s still snowing.
Our new listings this week are at 75 Bronte Street, Nelson – a charming character home with three bedrooms, and a delightful double garage, this home is very easy walking distance to town. The owner has done some nice renovations and we would expect you could move in here without having to do more work before you can enjoy it as your new home.

Since last week we have sold 1/6 Grove Street, The Wood, Nelson.
Although it was small and a little dated, the location was superb and the two offers we had were well over $400,000 – a clear recognition of the value of a location that is – at worst – two minutes’ walk to Nelson’s CBD.

Hot on the heels of my comments over the last few weeks about the state of the market is the following – since the 1st December last year our own sales team has sold six properties in the $2.0 m + price range.
The upper end is always the first to falter if there’s a settling of the market, but the strength of the market at this end is consistent with a continuing, firm market in this city, as we’ve been saying all year. Last week, QV released a report talking about this, and you can read it HERE

The big news of course is my impending selling trip to the UK – if you’re wanting a good price for your property this adds an extra opportunity to achieve that in a way that no other company can offer. In the 10 years I’ve been doing this, the only other agent in New Zealand that I’ve seen pull this off successfully has been a Bayleys agent in New Plymouth.
