Moving on Up in Nelson 14/03/2012
As I write this I’m struggling to stay warm sitting in a cafe in Palmerston North, and am reminded once again how lucky we are in Nelson.
I lived here for 26 years before finally seeing the light and moving to Nelson in 2003, and I must say, I frequently wonder why it took me so long to move.
For those of you overseas not familiar with the difference, Palmerston North, or “Palmy” as we call it, has several hundred wind turbines gracing the hills behind the city. That might provide a not-so-subtle clue as to the normal weather conditions here. The locals will tell you if its not raining and blowing, then its about to start.
Nelson on the other hand is New Zealand’s suniest city and the most common wind is a gentle sea breeze.
Enough about the weather – this weekend I’ll be back in the city of sun and gentle breezes and we look forward to seeing you at our open homes.
In the meantime, if you need to view one of our listings before the weekend, my very able colleagues Kellie and Shelley are on deck and ready to help you find your dream home.
